With 35,000 participants, Portland’s very own Shamrock Run is the second largest road race on the West Coast and, one again, Adidas is the headline sponsor. Fit Right is delighted to have been chosen by Adidas as their retail partner for the event. “With the Shamrock Run taking place just after the launch of the Ultra Boost, there are lots of opportunities for marketing the event, this amazing new shoe, and our store”, said Susan Zepernick, co-owner of Fit Right.
A series of launch events have been planned around both the shoe and the Shamrock Run, including free pub runs from both Fit Right locations, where attendees get the chance to try out Adidas shoes with the revolutionary new Boost midsole. Next up is an exclusive black tie event taking place in the Fit Right Portland store on the eve of the shoe launch. “The shoe will be on sale for the first time, and we will be testing it out and celebrating the launch with champagne and some great food”, said Zepernick.
All of the events have been underpinned by the opportunity to win a trip for two to the Berlin Marathon. Raffle tickets are being handed out to anyone coming to a Fit Right location and showing their Shamrock Run entry, as well as for trying on Adidas shoes. Even more tickets are available to anyone purchasing the new Ultra Boost.
“We will also have a large presence at the Shamrock Run itself, with a race day VIP tent for Fit Right training program participants and Ultra Boost customers”, said Nick Rector, Event Manager for Fit Right. “The whole extravaganza ends with a Shamrock Run post-race party where we will draw the winners for the Trip to Berlin”, he added.
The Ultra Boost is available at the Fit Right Portland location from February 26th, and the Shamrock Run takes place on March 15th.
